Olá!
It’s hard not to acknowledge that, in recent years, nutrition has become louder but not clearer. The modern world makes everything food-related complicated, so I focus on untangling misinformation, quieting diet culture, releasing food fear, and restoring healthful eating habits.
You won’t see me promoting trends of any kind. I’ve spent my career watching diets and fads damage, and over-occupy, eating. Crua Nutrition is an inclusive space where people can explore their relationship with food and make nutrition make sense again. No trends. Not for content. And certainly never, ever, for perfection.
I focus on translating health into realistic habits without sacrificing joy or simplicity.
I’m passionate about supporting both people and the systems around them, with a strong commitment to sustainability and a belief in a food system that mutually nurtures individuals, communities, and the environment.
With over a decade of professional experience in community nutrition and public health, I support people across life stages and health needs—from chronic disease prevention to wellness initiatives.
I’m particularly dedicated to perinatal nutrition (preconception through postpartum), helping women and families feel nourished and energized as they move through life’s most essential moments, and build lasting habits that support future generations.

How Culture Led Me to Become a Dietitian
I come from a Portuguese family deeply rooted in agricultural traditions, where self-sufficiency and respect for the earth shaped everyday life. It was a life of simplicity and gratitude, one that instilled in me an insatiable love for nature. My grandparents’ legacy of land stewardship continues to guide and inspire me.
