What is Nutrition Therapy?

  • Nutrition Therapy or “Nutrition Counseling” is a specialized service provided by *Registered Dietitians that integrates nutrition, lifestyle, and behavior change to support overall health. This approach is often focused on lifestyle improvement and preventative care.

  • Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is the clinical extension of this work, using evidence-based nutrition interventions and behavior change strategies to target medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, etc.

    *Registered Dietitians (RD) / Licensed Dietitian Nutritionists (LDN) are the only qualified healthcare professionals trained to provide nutrition therapy and medical nutrition therapy.

Who is Nutrition Therapy appropriate for?

  • People of all ages* looking for 1:1 nutrition support.

  • We work with people for a range of health considerations.

    *Those under the age of 18 will require additional information for scheduling.

Where are sessions held?

  • At this time, our nutrition counseling is offered primarily virtually via telehealth, with in-person availability upon request.

  • For telehealth appointments, we use a HIPAA-compliant software designed for secure Nutrition Therapy.

What is the process for scheduling?

  • The first step to working with us is to completed a New Client Request.

  • We then manage all bookings on our end.

What about pricing?

  • Counseling is priced based on the type of appointment in 15-minute units.

  • We currently accept select insurances, private pay, or superbills for client reimbursement. (Please inquire.)

  • We also offer payment through installments upon request.

  • In some cases, a referral by a medical doctor may be required.

  • Add-on services, bundles, and group programs are priced differently than Nutrition Therapy.

  • Prices for any of our services are subject to change.

How often do we meet?

  • We like to meet with New Clients 5 times within 1-2 months.

  • The follow-ups or “Progress Sessions” will be determined by your nutrition needs, personal goals, availability, and budget/insurance benefits.

  • We offer sessions in bundles that include types of appointments over a number of weeks, or months, to maintain accountability and keep clients on track.

Who can enroll in Group Sessions?

  • Group sessions are primarily designed for adults 18+.

How long are Group Sessions?

  • Groups differ depending on their format. See above for descriptions and average durations.
